 This contract, on-site position offers a unique chance to work in a dynamic environment where you'll directly impact the health and well-being of our youngest patients.

As a Pediatric Anesthesiology Physician, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia to pediatric patients undergoing various surgical procedures. You will work closely with a team of skilled professionals to ensure safe and effective anesthesia management, while also providing compassionate care to children and their families. This role is pivotal in enhancing the patient experience and contributing to positive surgical outcomes.

 

Responsibilities

  • Administer anesthesia and monitor patients before, during, and after surgery
  • Conduct pre-anesthesia consultations and evaluate patient histories
  • Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams to develop anesthesia care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding anesthesia procedures
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards within the operating room
  • Monitor vital signs and manage complications as they arise
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in pediatric anesthesia
  • Participate in case reviews and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

**Position Overview: Pediatric Anesthesia Provider**

- **EMR System:** Proficiency in Health Connect is essential; familiarity with EPIC is highly preferred. A solid background in EMR and related technologies is required.  

- **Contract Duration:** The engagement spans 3 months (13 weeks) with potential for extension.  

- **Work Schedule:** Expect to work 3 to 5 shifts per week, with each shift lasting 10 hours from Monday to Friday, plus one weekend call per month (Friday to Sunday) involving 24-hour on-call responsibilities. This position is for full-time candidates only.  

- **Call Responsibilities:** The call schedule includes night calls during two of the shifts worked, with 24-hour weekend call. Notably, the call back volume is anticipated to be very low.  

- **Patient Demographics:** The role involves managing a full range of pediatric anesthesia cases, excluding cardiac and neurological procedures.  

- **Care Setting:** Services will be provided in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with the provider functioning independently.  

- **Qualifications:** Candidates must hold active board certification and complete fellowship training in pediatric anesthesia.
