Location- Maple Grove, MN
The Pharmacist does important work to help patients with their medications. They check medication orders to make sure they are safe and suitable for patients. This includes looking at the dosage, how often it should be taken, checking for possible interactions with other medications, and identifying any allergies. They also supervise pharmacy technicians when medicines and IV solutions are given out.
Some of the tasks they do include:
- Adjusting medication doses based on how the patient is responding.
- Talking with doctors and nurses about medication-related issues.
- Helping to ensure that patients' medication records are accurate.
- Overseeing the work of other staff members who give out medications.
- Taking on other tasks as needed to help the organization achieve its goals.
**Requirements for the Job:**
- Experience in an Outpatient Pharmacy or Retail Pharmacy is needed.
- A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree is required.
- A license from the Minnesota State Board of Pharmacy is necessary.
- Familiarity with Epic Willow software is preferred.
**Licensing Needs:**
- You must be licensed by the Minnesota State Board of Pharmacy to work in this position.
