Physical therapists assess various factors including posture, gait, balance, coordination, and strength to formulate a comprehensive treatment plan aimed at assisting patients in regaining mobility and achieving independence. Upon identifying specific areas of strength and weakness, a physical therapist may focus on enhancing a patient’s ability to perform essential tasks, such as rising from a seated position or ascending stairs.

The Physical Therapist is responsible for leading, guiding, and directing the provision of physical therapy services within the facility, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, standards, as well as established facility policies and procedures. 

This is necessary to deliver appropriate care and services to residents.

The qualifications required for the Physical Therapist position include:

- A valid and unrestricted license in the respective therapy discipline within the state.

- Fulfillment of educational prerequisites associated with licensure requirements.

- A valid driver’s license in the state of employment.

Moreover, the candidate must possess a comprehensive understanding of regulations, procedures, and guidelines related to skilled nursing homes and long-term care.

**Submission Requirements:**

- A minimum of two years of physical therapy experience is preferred.

- Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation is required. -

 A valid Missouri State License is mandatory.
