The Physical Therapist helps people recover from injuries or illnesses through special physical treatments. They work based on a doctor’s advice to provide therapies that help restore movement and prevent further problems. The therapist supports patients in reaching their best ability to function and teaches them how to adapt to any limitations they may have.
The therapist also guides and manages any helpers, such as aides or students who work in the therapy department. They take part in making sure the department works well and participates in activities to improve service quality. It’s important for them to keep track of patient charges correctly and enter them on time. They also join training about safety, equipment use, and infection control.
The therapist works with patients of all ages: infants, children, teenagers, adults, and older adults.
