**Job Details and Tasks:**
The duties of a Health Care Worker (HCW) include, but are not limited to:
- Provide a full range of services as a physical therapist based on the permissions given by the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
- Give treatments using different equipment, such as a pulsed lavage machine, whirlpool bath, moist heat packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines. Check how the treatments are working and make changes as needed to help the patient as much as possible.
- Guide assistants, technicians, aides, students, and other therapy staff according to the department’s rules and instructions from supervisors.
- Perform specific therapies such as cupping, dry needling, scraping, and other methods of therapy.
- Assess and create treatment plans for all age groups with issues related to muscles, movement, breathing, and circulation according to professional practice rules.
- Teach physical therapy and health care students, planning and conducting lectures and training programs for staff, students, and patients. Join in team meetings about rehabilitation and quality assurance.
- Keep department records and files organized according to the facility's policies. Code patient information and manage workload time as directed.
- Provide physical therapist services to patients in hospital wards when needed.
**Work Schedule:**
- Work from Monday to Friday for 8.5 or 9 hours between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with a 30-minute or 1-hour lunch break.
- No work on weekends or holidays, and no on-call duty.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
- **Education:** A Master’s degree in physical therapy or a Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy (for those who graduated before January 1, 2002). Must graduate from a college or university approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
- **Experience:** At least one year of experience in the last 3 years as a Physical Therapist.
- **Licensure:** Must have a current license to work as a Physical Therapist in one of the 50 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- **Life Support Certification:** Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC).
- **Security:** Must be able to pass a government background check and security clearance.
