**Job Responsibilities:**
- Assess and help patients who have problems with physical movement or wounds. Create a care plan that follows rules and best practices.
- Use standard tests and proven methods to support treatment choices.
- Perform different treatments as part of the recovery plan. This includes hands-on techniques, walking support, exercises, special tools, and wound care.
- Check how patients are improving and change treatments if needed, keeping accurate records as required by regulations.
- Review how well treatments are working and make changes based on patient assessments. Refer patients to other services when necessary.
- Offer advice and support to patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers about physical health issues.
- Communicate clearly with your supervisor and other team members about how patients are doing, any challenges, and treatment plans.
- Write a complete summary of the services provided before patients leave, following all rules.
- Keep all necessary information in the electronic health system and maintain patient records according to company guidelines.
- Record the time spent on treatments accurately as required by regulations.
- Attend meetings about patient care and other important topics.
- Participate in training sessions and conferences as required by the facility and company.
- Obtain any necessary medical equipment or supplies as needed. - Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, aides, or students when necessary. - Follow all professional rules and ethics set by the APTA and state laws while working as a Physical Therapist.
**Requirements:**
- 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist
- Required - Experience in Long-Term Care or Rehabilitation
- Required - Missouri State License
- Required - New Graduates are Welcome if they have Level II experience (not just Level I observation)
