Helps patients with physical problems and wounds by checking their needs and creating a care plan that follows all rules and best practices.
Uses standard tests and proven methods to help guide treatment.
Carries out different procedures to aid rehabilitation, including hands-on techniques, helping patients walk, exercises, using machines, and taking care of wounds.
Looks at how well patients are doing and makes changes to their treatments as needed, keeping records according to rules.
Checks if treatments are working well and changes services based on patient needs, making referrals when necessary.
Communicates effectively with patients, their families, caregivers, and other health workers about physical issues.
Shares updates about patient progress and any challenges with supervisors and the healthcare team.
Provides a detailed summary of care given when patients are discharged, following all requirements.
Records all needed information in the electronic system and keeps patient files according to company rules.
Records the time spent on treatments according to all regulations.
Joins required meetings like patient care discussions, review meetings, and rehabilitation team meetings.
Takes part in necessary training and conferences set by the facility or company.
Can get any needed medical equipment or supplies following all rules.
Can supervise and assist physical therapist assistants, rehab aides, and students.
Follows the rules and ethics set by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and state laws when practicing as a Physical Therapist.
**Requirements:**
- 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist - Required
- Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation - Required
- Missouri State License - Required
