**Job Opportunity: Physician Assistant for Trauma and Acute Care Surgery**
We are looking for a skilled Physician Assistant to join our Trauma and Acute Care Surgery team. This is a full-time night position where you will help provide important medical care during the night at one of Colorado’s top hospitals.
Shift(s) Description:
12-hour overnight shifts, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
**Job Duties:** - Provide trauma and surgical care during night shifts.
- Manage patients who have been injured or need emergency surgery.
- Perform patient evaluations, create care plans, and read diagnostic tests.
- Help trauma surgeons with medical procedures and support during operations.
- Work well with a team of healthcare professionals.
- Keep all patient records updated in the Epic electronic health system.
- Work independently and manage many tasks at the same time.
- Help improve the quality and safety of care for our patients.
**Qualifications:**
- You should have at least two years of experience in trauma surgery or have completed a surgical fellowship (no new graduates).
- You must have a Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
- You must be NCCPA certified (no exceptions).
- You need an unrestricted Physician Assistant license to practice in Colorado.
- You must be eligible for DEA and Medicare/Medicaid provider status.
- A clean record for malpractice and licenses is preferred.
- You should not have any sanctions from health agencies.
- You must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (no exceptions).
**Experience:**
- At least 2 years in trauma surgery preferred, or completion of a surgical fellowship is highly preferred.
**Certifications Needed:** - BLS
- NCCPA Certification - Colorado Physician Assistant License
