**Job Description**
- Provide complete care for patients in the OB/GYN department at two big hospitals.
- Help expectant mothers and doctors during childbirth, surgeries, and emergencies related to pregnancy. - Manage situations like emergency room visits for problems such as ectopic pregnancies (when a pregnancy occurs outside the uterus) and torsions (twisting of the ovary).
- Perform regular gynecological (GYN) procedures, like diagnostic laparoscopy (a type of surgery), and support the Emergency Department.
- Take part in teaching activities, including training OB/GYN fellows and residents from family medicine programs. - Work closely with a respected maternal-fetal medicine team in a friendly and supportive environment.
- Enjoy a flexible work schedule with 6 to 8 shifts of 24 hours each month, allowing for a good work-life balance. - There is a chance for career advancement in both patient care and medical education.
**Qualifications**
- Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of finishing residency) in OB/GYN
- Must have a valid medical license for Washington state (or be willing to get one)
- Experience in OB Hospitalist work is preferred but not mandatory.
- A clean history regarding malpractice and licenses is highly preferred.
- DEA certification (must be obtained before starting the job).
