As an OB/GYN Doctor at Mary Rutan Hospital, your job will be to:
- Work four days each week for seeing patients, plus one day for office work (this can be done from home).
- Provide complete care for women’s health, both in the office and in the hospital.
- Perform surgeries, including cesarean sections (C-sections) and other gynecologic surgeries.
- Attend about one delivery per day (around 360 babies born each year).
- Share on-call duties with other doctors (you will be on call about once every four days, including weekends).
- Travel to different clinic locations as needed.
- Use Meditech Expanse software for notes and patient care.
- Work together with other doctors, nurse practitioners, nursing staff, and other health teams.
- Help maintain a safe and caring environment for patients.
**Qualifications:**
- Must be Board Eligible (within one year of finishing training) or Board Certified in OB/GYN – this is **required.**
- Completed a residency program in OB/GYN from an accredited school (ABOG or AOA) – this is **required.**
- Must have an Ohio medical license (or be willing to get one) – this is **required.**
- Must have a DEA license (or be willing to get one) – this is **required.**
- A clean history of malpractice and licensure is preferred – this is **highly preferred.**
- You must be able to reach the hospital within 30 minutes when you are on call – this is **required.**
**Certification Requirements:**
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration license)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
**State License Requirements:**
- You need a license to practice in Ohio.
**Additional License Requirements:**
- Must be Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in OB/GYN. We will consider cases with lapsed board certifications individually, and we also welcome new graduates within one year of training completion, but they must become board certified after their training.
