**Job Description:**

- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and staging of various malignancies utilizing detailed clinical assessments, advanced imaging modalities, and laboratory diagnostics.

- Formulate customized therapeutic strategies for individual patients, integrating modalities such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, and targeted agents.

- Monitor and evaluate patient progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to therapeutic protocols based on clinical response and tolerability.

- Manage and mitigate treatment-related adverse effects while providing supportive care to optimize patient quality of life.

- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment alternatives, and potential prognoses to facilitate informed decision-making.

- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families throughout their cancer journey.

- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including surgical oncologists, radiologists, oncology nurses, nurse practitioners, and navigators, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive oncological care.

- Engage in clinical trials, research projects, and quality improvement initiatives aimed at advancing oncological practice.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical guidelines, recent advances, and evidence-based practices in the field of oncology.

- Mentor and guide healthcare personnel in oncology-specific practices to enhance care delivery.

- Contribute to patient care planning and departmental initiatives aimed at improving clinical outcomes and operational efficiency.

- Candidate commuting distance is limited to a maximum of 1 hour.

- Work schedule consists of two clinic days per week, approximating 24 hours/week, starting April 2026, with typical outpatient clinic hours to be finalized.

- Weekend responsibilities involve participating in a rotating schedule.

 

**Qualifications:**

- Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology.

- Maintain a clean malpractice history.

- Submit the most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days of active status).

- Possess an active Vermont medical license (to be acquired prior to employment commencement).

- Completion of an accredited residency program in oncology or urology in the United States or Canada.

**Certification and License Requirements:**

- Board Certified or Board Eligible status is required.

- Active Vermont state license is mandatory.

- A clean malpractice and license history is essential.

- Submission of a copy of the most recent NPDB report is required.

- Employment is at-will, allowing termination by either party at any time.
