**On-Call Schedule:**
No on-call duty during temporary position; call duty expected for permanent placement.
On-call schedule will be one week every 6 to 8 weeks.
**Patient Types for Coverage:** Adults and Elderly.
*Work Focus Breakdown:** - 65% work in benign hematology (non-cancer blood issues)
- 35% work in malignant oncology (cancer treatment) - 0% internal medicine (general health)
**Average Patients Seen Each Day:** - Outpatient: 25 patients - Hospital (on-call/rounding): 20 patients
**Clinical Area:**
- Outpatient Cancer Care
- Inpatient Cancer Care
**Hospital Level:** Not applicable
**Documentation System/EMR:** EPIC
**Main Responsibilities:**
- Be part of a Tumor Board (a team that discusses cancer cases)
- Manage Bone Marrow Transplants
- Work with Blood Bank
- Order Tests and Images - Write Prescriptions
**Chemotherapy Administration:
** Nurse Oncologist gives chemotherapy.
**Qualifications Needed:**
- Must be Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology
- Must have an active South Carolina medical license (can accept those who need to get a license)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration
**Certification Needed:** - BLS - Board Certified
- DEA registration
