Position Available: Full-Time General Urologist
We are seeking an experienced General Urologist to become part of a collaborative team that includes an established urologist and a nurse practitioner at our single-site urology practice in Brattleboro, Vermont. The facility provides comprehensive urological care for both adult and pediatric patients across outpatient and surgical settings, while promoting a supportive work-life balance.
**Role Specifications:**
- Diagnose and manage a diverse array of urologic conditions, encompassing renal calculi, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), urinary incontinence, urinary tract infections, and various other urological disorders.
- Execute surgical procedures within modern operating rooms, ensuring thorough preoperative assessments and postoperative follow-ups.
- Provide consultations in hospital and emergency room settings, working alongside multidisciplinary specialists to offer holistic patient care.
- Collaborate closely with the existing urologist and nurse practitioner within a unified team-based practice structure. - Participate in a manageable call rotation, committing to approximately 7 days per month.
- Educate patients and their families regarding their diagnoses, therapeutic options, and preventive measures.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation while adhering to hospital protocols, state regulations, and professional standards. -
Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives and professional development efforts to remain informed about the latest advancements in urology.
**Qualifications:**
- Board Certification or eligibility in Urology.
- Clean malpractice history.
- Submission of a recent NPDB self-query report (within the last 30 days).
- Active Vermont medical license (to be obtained prior to commencement).
- Successful completion of an accredited residency program in Urology within the United States or Canada (additional documentation required).
**Certification Requirements:**
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
- DEA Registration - Active State License (Vermont)
- Completion of an accredited Urology residency program in the United States or Canada
