**DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION**
The role involves executing a broad range of technical procedures that necessitate independent judgment and ingenuity.
It is essential to demonstrate initiative in applying suitable skills to assist in the diagnostic process. Responsibilities may include independent tasks as assigned by the Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager.
Proper care of clients must be ensured in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. The position may also entail assuming supervisory or instructional responsibilities for departmental personnel as determined by the Operations Manager or Lead Technologist.
Compliance with infection control protocols and body substance isolation standards in clinical practice is mandatory, in line with departmental and hospital policies as well as OSHA regulations. Maintaining patient confidentiality is paramount at all times.
The employee is expected to demonstrate proficiency in the operation of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems. Additionally, the ability to operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, and PACS applications is required. Attendance at annual mandatory education sessions, including training on bloodborne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation, is necessary.
Maintaining departmental competencies as stipulated is required. Excellent patient care skills are imperative, along with the necessity of keeping current with continuing education in both radiology and mammography.
**Qualifications**
A minimum of two years of experience is required, with at least one year of current experience.
Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography is mandatory. Familiarity with Meditech Expanse is strongly preferred.
The candidate must be willing to work weekends and provide a permanent address in their profile.
Travelers are required to have their own vehicle for transportation needs.
