**Core Duties:**

The responsibilities associated with this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Execute routine diagnostic radiological procedures and services pertinent to the Terms of Office (TO).

- Ensure compliance with radiation safety policies and procedures in alignment with the protocols established by the Radiology Department.

- Transmit the appropriate image series to the radiologist for interpretation in accordance with Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) protocols.

- Ensure proper patient positioning for examinations and make necessary technical adjustments tailored to the required procedures. Ascertain if any specialized patient preparation is necessary.

- Process digital images and submit them for interpretation by the radiologists.

- Document all procedures and maintain records in accordance with MTF policies.

- As directed, conduct system calibrations and quality control tasks in adherence to both the manufacturer's guidelines and MTF policies. Identify artifacts and equipment errors promptly, notifying designated Government personnel of any outlying values.

- Initiate equipment repair call procedures by notifying designated Government personnel about malfunctions. Report issues to the Biomedical Repair Section and document the condition in the trouble call logbook.

- Observe and report to the radiologist any symptoms that may directly affect the patient's condition due to adverse reactions to contrast media, and inform the radiologist of any conditions necessitating their attention. Recognize the need for and implement emergency measures for situations requiring resuscitation procedures due to cardiac or respiratory arrest.

**Work Schedule:** The work schedule is set from 0730 to 1630, Monday through Friday, including a one-hour uncompensated meal break.

**Minimum Qualifications:** - 

**Education:** Possession of a certificate, having graduated from an academic program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). - 

**Experience:** A minimum of one year of experience as a radiologic technologist. - 

**Board Certification:** Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). - 

**Life Support Certification

** Current certification as a Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC). -

 **Security:** The ability to successfully pass a Government background check and obtain security clearance.
