**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**
The Registered Nurse works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and the Director of the Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU). They provide nursing care for patients who are very sick. They perform tasks allowed by the Iowa State Board of Nursing. Regular attendance is very important for this job.
- Able to organize and assess care plans for patients.
- Should understand the type of therapy activities that help patients in an Acute Rehabilitation setting.
**EDUCATION**
- Graduate of a Registered Nursing program.
**CERTIFICATION/LICENSE**
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Valid Iowa Registered Nurse License or a nursing license from a compact state that allows practice in Iowa.
