**Core Responsibilities:

The following are the main responsibilities of the role:
- Provide guidance and information to patients before and after their surgeries, and help organize the scheduling and planning of these procedures.
- Assist in recovering patients after endoscopy procedures, especially when the recovery staff is busy, after receiving necessary certification in advanced life support.
- Work closely with various healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care and achieve good health outcomes while keeping costs reasonable.
- Follow all guidelines and regulations to maintain high standards of care and practice in accordance with the organization’s policies. - Conduct physical examinations and gather health histories from patients.
- Offer health advice, counseling, and educational support to patients.
- Administer medications, care for wounds, and provide personalized treatments as needed.
- Supervise and guide the care provided by other healthcare workers.
- Assign patient care tasks based on the capabilities and qualifications of the staff. - Identify any concerning symptoms and respond quickly in emergencies.
- Communicate effectively with a diverse group of people to keep everyone informed about patient care plans and educate patients and their families. - Arrange appointments for specialized care when necessary.
- Carry out nursing tasks as specified in the job description.
- Participate in research aimed at improving healthcare practices and patient outcomes.
- Acquire and maintain the necessary credentials to provide conscious sedation when required.
**Work Schedule:**
The work schedule is from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a one-hour unpaid meal break.
**Minimum Qualifications:**

**Education:** A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university. *
**Experience:** At least one year of experience working in a surgery clinic, step-down unit, intensive care unit, or recovery unit within the last five years. *
**Licensure:** A current, active nursing license in any U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. *
**Life Support Certification:
** Must have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and be able to obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within the first two months of employment. *
**Security Clearance:** Must be able to pass a government background check and obtain security clearance.
