**Job-Specific Details and Responsibilities:**
The duties associated with this position may encompass the following, dependent upon departmental requirements:
- Coordinate patient care through collaboration with a diverse range of healthcare professionals, facilitating the achievement of optimal outcomes in clinical care, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to established standards of care and practice in alignment with all policies, procedures, and guidelines applicable within the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and health history assessments.
- Provide health promotions, counseling, and educational services to patients.
- Administer medications, manage wound care, and implement numerous other personalized interventions.
- Direct and supervise the provision of care by other healthcare professionals.
- Assume accountability for assigning patient care responsibilities based on the scope of practice and skill levels of assigned personnel.
- Recognize adverse signs and symptoms, responding swiftly in emergency situations.
- Communicate and collaborate with a wide array of individuals to inform the healthcare team of strategies and actions, as well as for the purpose of educating patients and their families to enhance their understanding and benefit the organization.
- Schedule referral appointments and arrange for specialty care as deemed necessary.
**Work Schedule:**
Typically, the work schedule is Monday through Friday, comprising nine hours between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., including a one-hour lunch period. Occasional Saturday engagements may occur for Health and Wellness events.
**Minimum Qualifications:**

**Education:** The candidate must possess a Master's degree in Nursing, Health Promotion, Education, Community/Public Health, Wellness, or a Health Science-related field from an accredited university. -
**Experience:** The candidate must possess a minimum of two years of full-time experience as a health educator within the last four years, specifically in Health Promotions and Wellness campaigns, which include but are not limited to tobacco/nicotine cessation, diabetes prevention and management, weight management, stress management, sleep psychoeducation, nutrition, exercise, heart health, or disease management/prevention. For a lead position, a minimum of four years of experience is required. -
**Licensure:** A current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license from any state is required. Certification as a Certified Diabetes Educator is required for the CDE position. -
**Life Support Certifications:** The candidate must possess an AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
