**Core Responsibilities:**
The responsibilities of the position encompass, but are not limited to, the following:
- Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a diverse array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the attainment of optimal outcomes concerning clinical care, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines utilized in the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
- Conduct physical examinations and gather comprehensive health histories.
- Provide health promotion, counseling, and education to patients and their families.
- Administer medications, perform wound care, and deliver various other tailored interventions.
- Direct and supervise the care provided by other healthcare professionals.
- Assume accountability for assigning patient care responsibilities, considering the scope of practice and skill proficiency of the assigned personnel.
- Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and respond promptly in emergency situations
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of individuals to inform the healthcare team of plans and actions, as well as to provide education that benefits both patients and the organization.
- Schedule referral appointments and coordinate specialty care as appropriate.
- Execute nursing services as specified in the Task Order (TO).
- Engage in research to support enhanced practices and improved patient outcomes.
**Work Schedule:**
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, totaling 9 hours within the timeframe of 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, inclusive of a one-hour lunch break.
**Minimum Qualifications:**

**Degree:** Associate's degree in nursing. -
**Education:** Graduation from an accredited academic program within the nursing specialty field, recognized by either the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). -
**Experience:** A minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) within the past 24 months. - **Licensure:** Active and unrestricted RN license from any state. -
**Life Support Certification:** Possession of current Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification from the American Red Cross (ARC) or the American Heart Association (AHA). - **Security Clearance:** The ability to successfully pass a Government background check/security clearance is required.
