**Job Duties:**
The duties for this position include:
- Helping new staff learn their jobs by giving them training and orientation.
- Evaluating patients and using nursing methods to provide care. Preparing patients properly for their treatments and procedures.
- Talking and working together with different people to share plans and actions that will help patients, their families, and the organization.
- Needs to have good speaking and writing skills for accurate notes, be a good leader, and work well under pressure.
- Must communicate effectively with the healthcare team to support patients and families in their care, teaching them how to take care of themselves, manage symptoms, and know what to do for follow-up care.
- Responsible for giving care assignments based on the skills and experience of staff members.
- Needs to be organized and able to manage tasks well. - Join in meetings, committees, and activities as needed. Provide helpful information and assist in making decisions to improve processes and customer service.
- Ensure a safe workplace and follow safety rules and guidelines for infection control.
- Work as part of a team to provide good quality, timely, and ethical care.
- Create care plans for patients with mental health needs.
- Help deliver therapy to individuals, families, and groups.
**Work Schedule:**
- Work four, 12-hour shifts each week, including day and night shifts.
**Minimum Qualifications:** -
**Education:** At least an Associate's Degree in Nursing. -
**Experience:** At least 2 years of experience in Mental Health or Psychiatric nursing within the last 3 years.
- **License:** Must have an active and unrestricted RN license. -
**Board Certification:** Not required. -
**Life Support Certifications:** Must have BLS certification. -
**Security:** Must pass a government background check and obtain a security clearance.
