Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in emergency medicine and critical care, demonstrating the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires excellent assessment skills, the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, and a commitment to delivering compassionate care to patients in urgent situations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and triage patients based on severity of condition.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV infusion and acute pain management.
  • Perform emergency procedures such as suturing, airway management, and catheterization.
  • Utilize EMR systems (Epic, Cerner) for accurate medical documentation and patient records.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Monitor vital signs and provide ongoing evaluation of patient conditions.
  • Educate patients and families on health management, discharge planning, and follow-up care.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and NCQA standards in all patient interactions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department.

**Qualifications and Requirements:**

- A minimum of 2 years of current emergency department experience in a hospital setting is required.
- A minimum of 3 months of travel experience is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree is preferred.
- The permanent address must be available on the candidate's profile.
- Any and all requests for time off (RTO) must be included in the traveler's profile. Requests for time off not listed on the profile will not be approved.
- All certifications must be in hand to be considered for this position. This requirement is non-negotiable.
- This location is situated in a small community that lacks public transportation. Therefore, it is imperative that the traveler candidate possesses their own vehicle. This is a firm requirement.

**Certification Requirements:**

- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

**State License Requirements:**
