We are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN)  in the Emergency Room (ER) department. This position is for night shifts and offers a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care during critical moments. As an RN in the ER, you will play a vital part in assessing, planning, and implementing patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Responsibilities:

  • Triage and assess patients' conditions quickly and accurately.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and adjust patient care plans.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs and symptoms.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
  • Respond efficiently to emergency situations and perform life-saving interventions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Prior experience in an Emergency Room (ER) setting is a plus.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

We are seeking candidates with a minimum of two years of relevant experience, including prior travel experience. The selected individual must be available to start as soon as possible 

The position involves working in a seven-bed Emergency Department (ED) with an average annual volume of 4,500 cases. Proficiency in the Meditech Expanse 2.2 electronic medical record system is strongly required.

Certification Requirements include:

- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)

- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the AHA 

- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA

- Trauma Nursing Core Curriculum (TNCC)

State License Requirements:

- A valid license to practice in New Hampshire is mandatory; compact licenses are acceptable.
