**Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)**
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in Oregon, you will care for patients using the nursing process. You will teach patients and their families, write notes about patient care, and work with other healthcare team members to coordinate care.
**Skills and Abilities**
- Can read and write clearly in English and talk to others effectively.
- Thinks critically and solves problems.
- Able to be flexible and change plans based on patient and unit needs.
- Good at teaching patients.
- Responds well to emergencies and patient crises.
- Can use computers for internet, word processing, and keeping patient records electronically.
- Comes to work regularly and on time.

**Education/Certifications/Licenses/Degrees**
- Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in Oregon.
- Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Must get Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months after starting the job.
**Experience**
- Recent (within the last 5 years) experience in a hospital is preferred.
- Experience in an acute care hospital or intermediate/progressive care in the past two years is preferred.
- Need at least three (3) years of nursing experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in Critical Care is preferred.
**Certification Requirements**
- BLS certification is required.
**State License Requirements**
- Must have an Oregon nursing license.
