The individual in this role is responsible for assessing the physiological, emotional, and spiritual needs of each patient within the designated unit area, as well as for developing nursing care plans to address those needs.
It is essential for this professional to ensure the implementation of nursing care plans through the performance and leadership of subordinate personnel. Responsibilities also include conducting patient evaluations, documenting patient progress, and overseeing treatment planning and discharge functions.
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of two years of current experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is required.
Experience in neuro, vascular, thoracic, and neurosurgery is also mandatory.
Candidates must possess a valid Illinois nursing license upon submission.
Familiarity with Cerner electronic health record systems is strongly preferred.
Certification Requirements
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
