Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills. This role requires the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and implementing appropriate interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health management.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to NCQA standards.
  • Assist with procedures such as IV infusion, catheterization, and wound care.
  • Engage in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care post-discharge.

Qualifications

- You need an Associate's Degree in Nursing or a Nursing Diploma from a school that is recognized - This is a must.

- You must have a BLS Certification - This is also required.
- You need to have a current Registered Nurse License in Kansas - This is necessary.
- Certification needed: BLS
- License needed: Kansas
- Important: Your Kansas (or compact) license must be active when you apply!
