**Position Requirements and Responsibilities**

Candidates must possess experience utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically with Allscripts Paragon. Proficiency in reading vital signs and administering injections and vaccinations is essential. 

Additionally, candidates must demonstrate a readiness to float to different units as necessary.

The nurse assigned to this role will be responsible for the care of six patients, with the support of two Licensed Medical Assistants (LMA) on each floor. The facility comprises 18 staffed beds, and a comprehensive orientation lasting 4 to 6 weeks will be provided before the nurse is assigned to the floor.

Under general supervision, the nurse will plan, direct, and evaluate the total nursing care and functions within one specific unit during assigned shifts, in alignment with established philosophies.

 Effective communication with other shifts is crucial for ensuring continuity of care. The nurse will maintain satisfactory interactions with other departments and nursing units, participate in various phases of education, and uphold the maintenance of records while assisting in the enhancement of policies, procedures, and personnel skills. The American Nurses Association (ANA) standards apply universally to all nursing professionals, with additional specialty standards defining the competencies of specialty nurses.

**Qualifications**

The position is open to newly graduated professionals with either a temporary or active New Hampshire nursing license. Candidates with an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) will be considered, although a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Additional qualifications include certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Telemetry Strip certification, which are also preferred.

**State License Requirements**

- New Hampshire - Compact Licensure is permitted.
