Location- Lawton, Oklahoma 

**Job Title: Stepdown Registered Nurse (Cardiac Focus)**

**Job Description:**
The Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) will take care of different patients, including those with heart issues like chest pain, heart attacks (STEMI and NSTEMI), and patients who have had heart surgeries (like CABG or thoracotomy) or other surgeries on blood vessels. This nurse will also care for patients with serious breathing problems, heart rhythm issues, or those who need special medicines and monitoring for their blood pressure. Patients who have just had a cardiac procedure will recover in this unit, and the nurse will help manage any tubes that are put in to monitor blood flow. Note that certain medications will not be adjusted in this unit.

The role includes creating and following a complete nursing care plan for each patient. The nurse will assess the patient's needs, set nursing diagnoses, and develop care plans. They will also work together with other healthcare team members to ensure high standards of nursing care.

**Patient Care Population:**
The nurse will provide care for people of all ages, including infants, children, teenagers, adults, and older adults.

**Qualifications:**
- Must be a Registered Nurse licensed to work in Oklahoma. - Required
- At least 6 months of experience in a Stepdown unit. - Required
- Must currently have or be willing to get NIH Certification. - Required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

**Certification Requirements:**
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- NIH Certification

**State License Requirements:**
- Must have an Oklahoma state nursing license.
