**Job-Specific Responsibilities and Tasks for Healthcare Workers (HCW):**

The responsibilities of the HCW encompass, but are not limited to, the following:

- Facilitate the orientation and training of newly assigned staff members, as deemed appropriate.

- Utilize computer applications and software, specifically within the Microsoft Office 365 suite, MS Outlook (email), and internet platforms.

- Engage in and contribute to committees, functions, and meetings as directed, providing relevant information to support decision-making and process improvement initiatives. Participate in customer service programs and activities geared towards enhancing medical readiness in health services.

- Maintain a safe working environment by promoting safe work practices among employees and ensuring patient safety in compliance with regulatory standards, infection control policies, and quality improvement initiatives.

- Coordinate comprehensive patient care in collaboration with a diverse array of healthcare professionals to achieve optimal clinical outcomes and ensure quality and cost-effectiveness of care.

- Uphold compliance with standards of care and established protocols in accordance with the policies and guidelines of the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).

- Conduct thorough physical examinations and history assessments.

- Implement health promotion strategies, provide counseling, and deliver health education.

- Administer medications, wound care, and execute a variety of other personalized interventions.

- Supervise and direct care provided by other healthcare professionals.

- Accountable for assigning patient care responsibilities based on the competencies and skill levels of the staff.

- Identify adverse signs and symptoms and respond swiftly to emergency situations.

- Communicate and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of individuals to inform the healthcare team of plans/actions, and engage in teaching/education initiatives that benefit patients, families, and the organization.

- Schedule referral appointments and coordinate access to specialty care when necessary.

- Engage in research activities to foster improved practice and patient outcomes.

**Work Schedule:** - Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7 AM to 5 PM, with a one-hour lunch break.

- No weekend shifts.

- No holiday duties. - No on-call or callback responsibilities.

**Minimum Qualifications:** * 

**Education:** Requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation

 Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

* **Experience:** A minimum of 24 months of clinical nursing experience in a patient care setting is mandated.

* **Licensure:** Valid, unrestricted RN license from any U.S. state is required. * 

*Life Support Certification:** Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the AHA or ARC is necessary, with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.

* **Security Clearance:** Candidates must possess the ability to pass a government background check/security clearance.
