The Respiratory Care Practitioner serves as an essential member of the healthcare team, exhibiting expertise, skill, and professionalism in interactions with colleagues and patients. The Respiratory Therapist (RT) must be capable of delivering age-appropriate care to a diverse patient population. This role necessitates a thorough understanding of hospital policies and procedures, in addition to adherence to the standards of practice set forth by the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC).

**Requirements**

- New graduates are welcomed and training will be provided.
- A minimum of two years of acute care hospital experience is required, with preference given to candidates who have experience in critical access hospitals.
- Candidates must demonstrate clinical independence and possess experience working with all age groups.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification must be current, or the candidate must be eligible for certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are required or the candidate must acquire them within six months of employment. Participation in a continuing education program is expected.
- Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Respiratory Care program and possess a current New Hampshire license/registration. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and techniques in respiratory care is essential.
