Registered Respiratory Therapist - RRT (Nights)

The individual in this role is accountable for the provision of respiratory therapy and patient care in accordance with the directives of physicians, as well as institutional policies and procedures, and departmental standards for care and practice.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Conducts therapeutic and diagnostic procedures related to pulmonary and cardiovascular health.

- Assesses patient or resident responses to respiratory therapy and implements necessary corrective measures.

- Provides educational instruction to patients and staff concerning respiratory procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.

- Performs routine maintenance and operational checks on respiratory equipment.

- Maintains accurate records, reports, and other documentation pertinent to the responsibilities of the role.

 

Qualifications

- A minimum of two years of experience is required.

- Candidates must be trained in the operation of ventilators, BiPAP, as well as having experience in ICU, ER, and ABG procedures.

- ACLS certification is preferred.

**Certification Requirements:**

- BLS certification is mandatory.

- NBRC certification is required.

**State Licensing Requirements:**

- A valid Michigan state license is required.
