Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychosocial assessments of patients to identify needs and develop care plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to patients and families in difficult situations.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to advocate for patients and ensure holistic care.
• Offer counseling and emotional support to individuals facing health challenges.
• Assist patients in accessing community resources and support services.
• Document patient interactions and progress in medical records accurately.
• Educate patients and families on coping strategies and available support systems.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.

Requirements:

**Position Overview**  

The candidate for the position of Social Worker will be trained to conduct facility crisis evaluations in the Emergency Department (ED) and Emergency Room (ER). The selected individual must possess certifications in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) and Assessment of Mental Status and Risk (AMSR).

**Requirements**  

The traveler must hold a valid Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) designation. Furthermore, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently.

**Qualifications**  

All traveler candidates are required to successfully pass a background check and verification of licensure with no discrepancies.  

- A minimum of two years of experience in psychiatric practice is required.  

- Current AMSR and CPI/Welle certifications must be available at the time of profile submission; the client will not accept any pending certifications.  

- Experience with pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients is essential.  

- Supervisory references from the last two years of employment must be provided.  

- The traveler must possess a personal vehicle for this assignment.  

- The permanent address must be included in the profile.

**Certification Requirements**  

- AMSR   - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)  

- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)  

**State License Requirements**  

- Massachusetts license is required.
