**ROLE:**
Provide mobile ultrasound services primarily within nursing homes, home care facilities, correctional institutions, and other processing sites in regions served by Diagnostic Laboratories, utilizing an automobile for transportation.
**TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
- Utilize self-dispatching systems or contact dispatch to receive initial case load information.
- Arrive at the first assigned case at the start of the shift or depart from home at least thirty (30) minutes in advance.
- Unpack portable sonographic equipment and set up within the facility to perform physician-ordered examinations, ensuring the collection of clinically diagnostic, high-quality images.
- Execute and process ultrasound procedures using portable sonographic technology; digitally transmit acquired images to a Radiologist for interpretation.
- Check voicemail from each facility following the completion of assigned cases; frequency of checks should be no longer than every thirty (30) minutes as necessary.
- Monitor available cases through the self-dispatching system and/or communicate with the on-duty dispatcher at least every thirty (30) minutes when required.
- Adhere to the company uniform and dress code, including wearing a company-issued name tag.
- Keep a company-provided phone accessible at all times.
- Respond to all urgent communications within a fifteen (15) minute timeframe.
- Attend mandatory meetings as needed.
- Upon facility arrival, verify all orders for accuracy against the exams listed in the patient's chart as ordered by the physician. If discrepancies exist, or if no orders are present, the exam cannot proceed until the necessary documentation is corrected to align with the requisition.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
- Must hold registration with ARDMS or CCI for vascular ultrasound. *
** - General vascular credentialing required (minimum RVT or RVS).
** - Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program.
- Maintain all necessary certifications, health and operational compliance.
- Sonographer must hold a valid driver’s license, which must be presented upon request. It is the technologist's responsibility to provide copies of licenses and/or certifications to relevant personnel. All associates are subject to periodic verification of driver’s licenses.
**CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:**
- ARDMS Certification
**ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:**
- Limited licenses are not accepted;
ARDMS or CCI certification is mandatory.
