**Position Summary:**
This role involves the execution of high-quality cardiac ultrasound procedures that necessitate creativity, initiative, and independent judgment. The responsibilities include performing M-mode, two-dimensional cardiac ultrasound, Doppler color flow studies, stress echocardiograms, and atrioventricular optimization procedures.
Additionally, this position requires assistance to physicians during transesophageal examinations while adhering to established departmental policies and protocols.
This role specializes in conducting diagnostic studies utilizing cardiac ultrasound technology.
It is imperative to obtain comprehensive patient histories, elucidate standard procedures, and address any patient concerns to cultivate a sense of comfort and confidence among patients, thereby ensuring their individual needs are adequately met.
The incumbent will operate and maintain all designated ultrasound scanning equipment, ensuring its proper functionality. Responsibilities also include positioning patients, selecting suitable transducers and machine settings, and executing scanning procedures to accurately capture the images as requested by the physician.
The position requires the completion of quality assurance processes and compliance with all applicable Joint Commission, federal, state, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
