*Job Responsibilities:**
- Log in to self-dispatch or call dispatch to know your daily tasks.
- Arrive at your first job on time or leave home 30 minutes early.
- Carry portable ultrasound equipment into different facilities to perform the exams that doctors ordered. Make sure to take clear and useful images.
- Send the ultrasound images to a radiologist for evaluation.
- Check messages from each facility after you finish your tasks or at least every 30 minutes.
- Look for available cases every half hour through the self-dispatching system or by talking to the dispatcher. - Wear the company uniform and name tag and follow the dress code.
- Keep the company phone with you.
- Respond to urgent messages within 15 minutes.
- Attend meetings when required.
- Check that all orders are correct before starting any exam. If the orders do not match, wait until the correct order is in place.
- Make sure you have the right patient by asking for two identifiers, like their name and date of birth.
- Facility staff will help with patient transfers and support; you should not help with these tasks.
- Scan and submit paperwork and billing daily as per the protocol.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with the call center, dispatch, coworkers, supervisors, and clients.
- Take care of your vehicle and ultrasound equipment.
- Always follow high medical ethics and stay updated on your field and new procedures.
- If you use a company vehicle, you must pay for any traffic tickets.
- Do not drink alcohol, use illegal drugs, or carry weapons as stated in the Associate Handbook.
- Always report any changes to your criminal background and follow the drug-free workplace policy in the Associate Handbook.
- Conduct yourself in a professional and ethical way according to the company’s Code of Conduct.
- Handle your equipment carefully. Report any malfunctions to your supervisor immediately.
- Train other technologists if needed.
- Be motivated, reliable, and able to work independently with little supervision.
- Pass a drug screening and background check.
- Have good organizational skills.
- Know how to use basic smartphone features and computer skills, such as printing and sending documents via email. - Understand the local areas and routes for travel.
- Have a pleasant phone manner and strong communication skills.
**Applicant Requirements:**
- You must be registered with ARDMS or CCI for vascular ultrasound, plus have additional qualifications in echo/vascular and general ultrasound.
- Confirm your shift in the additional information section of the cover page.
- Graduate from an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program.
- Keep your certifications and health requirements up to date.
- Always have a valid driver’s license and show it when asked.
