**Job Responsibilities:**

- Help patients who have problems with speaking, thinking, or swallowing. Create a plan to help them based on rules and standards.
- Use approved tests and methods based on research to provide the right treatment.
- Check how well patients are doing and change their treatments when needed, keeping records that follow the rules.
- Review how well treatments work. Change services based on patient needs and suggest further help if needed.
- Talk with patients, their families, caregivers, and other professionals about speech problems and helpful strategies.
- Keep in touch with supervisors and other healthcare team members about how patients are doing and discuss treatment plans.
- Write a complete summary of the services provided to patients according to rules and requirements when they are discharged.
- Record all necessary information in the electronic system and keep patient records as per company policy.
- Accurately track treatment time for services given, following all rules.
- Join required meetings such as patient care discussions, reviews of services, and rehabilitation team meetings.
- Attend necessary training and workshops provided by the facility and company.
- Obtain any needed equipment or supplies according to the rules.
- Support and guide new Speech-Language Pathologists and students.
- Follow the rules created by ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) and state laws during professional practice.
- Keep an active ASHA membership and a state license.

**Requirements:**

- At least 1 year of Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) experience is needed.
- Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is required.
- Must have a Missouri State License.
- Must be a Certified Clinical Competence (CCC) Speech-Language Pathologist.
- 3 years of experience with an active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCS) is preferred.
- Can accept one reference when applying.
- Applications must be submitted at the specified rate; if a higher rate is requested, the candidate will need to adjust.

**State License Information:**

- Must have a license for Missouri.
- Compact license is allowed (this means you can work in different states with one license).
