As a Tax Senior Manager, your responsibilities will revolve around three primary domains: 

Technical & Quality Expertise, People & Talent Management, and Client Service/Business Development. Your key duties will include:

- Acting as a Performance Advisor, providing mentorship and constructive feedback to employees to enhance their professional growth and performance.

- Training and developing staff members through structured programs and hands-on experience.

- Conducting meticulous reviews and analyses of tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance.

- Collaborating with the assurance team to evaluate tax provisions and prepare comprehensive working papers for non-assurance clients.

- Managing client and firm risk through rigorous oversight and proactive measures.

- Addressing complex issues while maintaining a client-centric communication approach.

- Advising clients across a full spectrum of corporate tax services—covering strategic planning, in-depth research, compliance, and tax accounting.

- Reviewing research findings to ensure alignment with firm policies and prevailing professional standards.

- Contributing to business development efforts by identifying opportunities for extended services and recognizing tax issues among existing clientele.

- Keeping abreast of the latest developments in tax practices and legislative changes.

- Participating in the recruitment process for junior-level staff to build a high-performance team.

- Possibility of travel as necessary to fulfill client obligations.

**Basic Qualifications:**

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.

- Active CPA Designation. - Pursuing or completed a Master’s in Taxation or CPA In-depth Tax Program.

- A minimum of 8 years in Public Accounting, particularly in a tax-focused role.

- Proven ability to collaborate closely with clients by addressing inquiries and gathering essential information for tax services.

- Proficient experience with varying entity structures, including Corporations, Partnerships, and Trusts.

- Strong verbal and written communication competencies.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Comprehensive understanding of the Canadian Income Tax Act and its implications for tax compliance and accounting practices.

- Strong technical proficiency in tax preparation and the development of specialized tax areas.

- Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks effectively.

- Familiarity with international tax matters and experience in tax review processes is considered an advantage.
