**Responsibilities:**
- Lead multiple tax engagements to deliver high-quality tax preparation, research, planning, and consulting services for a diverse clientele.
- Review and prepare estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax returns.
- Undertake Power of Attorney responsibilities for clients, ensuring timely follow-up with governmental authorities as necessary.
- Conduct estate research and tax analyses while documenting findings and conclusions.
- Stay informed regarding current tax practices and changes in tax legislation.
- Develop, supervise, and assign responsibilities within the estate and trust team.
- Provide exceptional client service and cultivate trusting client relationships.
- Generate new business opportunities and identify cross-selling leads among existing clients.
**Qualifications of a Strong Candidate Include:**
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant compliance experience with a specialization in estate, gift, trust, and tax services.
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent recognized business credential is required.
- CPA licensure is mandatory; a Juris Doctor degree is considered an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Strong leadership and personnel management abilities are required.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Familiarity with software related to estate tax returns, gift tax returns, fiduciary accounting, and income tax returns is advantageous.
