The Electromyography (EMG) Technician is responsible for conducting nerve conduction studies and assisting the provider during the EMG component of the procedure. 

The EMG Technician will ensure accurate and efficient evaluation of diagnostic information and will perform clerical tasks as needed to support the operational needs of the department. This role involves delivering care that addresses the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of patient care, while fulfilling the communication needs of both patients and their families. It is essential to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, as well as adhere to nursing and clinic policies, procedures, and standards. Effective communication with physicians and team members regarding the patient's condition, including diagnostic study results and symptomatology, is imperative.

**Qualifications:**

Candidates must have completed an approved EMG program or possess equivalent experience in neurosciences, which is required. 

A two-year degree in Neurodiagnostics or a related field is also mandatory. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required. 

The candidate must demonstrate competency in the EMG Technician role, including the ability to monitor and analyze EMG and other neurophysiological wave patterns. 

Basic computer skills are essential, along with proficiency in reading and communicating effectively in English. Strong skills in leadership, problem-solving, continuous improvement, verbal and written communication, and team building are necessary. Familiarity with basic improvement concepts and techniques is also expected. 

The candidate must exhibit flexibility to accommodate the needs of patients and the department.

**Certification Requirements:**

- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
