The **Radiologic Technologist** works under the guidance of doctors who specialize in imaging (radiologists) and under the supervision of the Director of Radiology. This person uses a special machine called a Computerized Tomographic (CT) scanner to take images of different parts of the body, including the head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and limbs.

**Requirements:**
- You need to graduate from a school for radiologic technology that is approved by the American Medical Association and be registered in at least radiography. **(This is necessary.)**
- It is preferred to have extra certification in computed tomography. **(This is a plus.)**
- You should have training or experience working with patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly, and be willing to learn about other imaging methods. **(This is necessary.)**
- You need to be able to work well with patients, co-workers, doctors, and visitors. It is important to be a team player and also be able to work on your own. Good communication skills are essential. **(This is necessary.)**
- You should know how to use computers. **(This is necessary.)**
- Familiarity with the Meditech Health Information System is preferred. You should be willing to learn how to use new software applications.

**Certification Requirements:**
- You must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

**State License Requirements:**
- You need a license to work in New Hampshire. A Compact License is allowed.
