The role of the X-Ray Technologist encompasses the performance of high-quality diagnostic radiological examinations as prescribed by healthcare Providers. This position involves interacting with a diverse patient demographic, including infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatric individuals. Additionally, the Technologist may undertake various radiological processes within the parameters of their licensure, including EKGs and Dexa bone scans.

 

Shift - 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

The Technologist is responsible for executing precise imaging examinations as ordered by Physicians or Providers and subsequently presenting these images for assessment.

 This includes administering EKGs and providing the results for review by the Physician or Provider.

Critical thinking skills must be applied judiciously, with the ability to recognize and respond appropriately to emergent situations. The Technologist maintains daily records and ensures that the department is kept in a neat and orderly condition.

The role requires the maintenance of accurate patient medical records while ensuring the confidentiality of all medical information. 

Appropriate utilization of imaging and electronic medical record (EMR) systems is also expected. Daily checks of systems and proper documentation are essential components of this position.

The Technologist conducts routine quality control testing, whether daily, weekly, or monthly, as appropriate. Interactions with Providers, colleagues, patients, and their families must be conducted in a professional manner. The individual may accept additional responsibilities as assigned to further the achievement of organizational objectives.

This team member is accountable for demonstrating proficiency in the skills delineated in the relevant position skills list. Ongoing maintenance of skill proficiency, including necessary enhancements and the acquisition of additional or new competencies as per the skills list, is required. 

The Technologist must recognize and adhere to all legal, regulatory, accrediting, and procedural guidelines related to their area of responsibility.

Furthermore, safeguarding patient and team member privacy is imperative, with access to personal information strictly limited to that which is necessary for the fulfillment of job duties. Any violations or concerns must be reported to a supervisor or the Corporate Compliance Officer through established communication methods.

 

**Qualifications** **Basic Qualifications:**

**Education:** - High school diploma or equivalent 

- Required - Graduation from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology - Required

**Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**

- A minimum of one year of clinical X-Ray experience

- Required - Proficiency in Medical Terminology - Required

**Licensure and Certification:**

- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist 

- Required - BLS Certification - Required

**Certification Requirements:** - ARRT - BLS
