RPM Nautical Foundation is looking for a dedicated Vendor Manager to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. Located in Abbeyville, this role is integral to our operations within the maritime industry, where we focus on enhancing marine archaeological practices through innovative technologies and partnerships.

As a Vendor Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing relationships with our suppliers and service providers, ensuring that we maintain high standards of quality and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of our projects and initiatives, ultimately supporting our mission to preserve maritime heritage. We offer a competitive salary range of $101,500 - $120,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure cost-effective procurement
  • Monitor vendor performance and compliance with service level agreements
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and fulfill procurement needs
  • Conduct regular evaluations of vendor capabilities and service quality
  • Manage the vendor onboarding process and documentation
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in vendor management
  • Prepare reports on vendor performance and procurement metrics

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in vendor management or procurement
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in vendor management software and tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of the maritime industry is a plus
  • Familiarity with contract law and compliance standards
