Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Sales Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering or technical sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to bridge the gap between complex technical products and customer needs.
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for identifying client requirements, designing tailored solutions, preparing proposals, and driving revenue growth through consultative selling and long-term client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with industrial, commercial, and institutional clients.
- Understand client technical requirements and propose effective engineering solutions.
- Prepare detailed proposals, quotes, and technical presentations to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure technical feasibility and cost efficiency.
- Conduct product demonstrations, site visits, and solution-based consultations.
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and delivery schedules with clients.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client communications in CRM software.
- Monitor industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities.
- Provide post-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
- 3–5 years of experience in technical or industrial sales.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical information into customer-focused solutions.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent).
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and trade shows.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems, HVAC, or process automation solutions.
- Familiarity with CAD drawings and technical schematics.
- Demonstrated success in consultative or solution-based selling.
- Strong project management and coordination abilities.
