Job Title: AI Engineer Location: Pune, India (On-site), Type: Full-Time

Our client is building Last Mile 2.0 , redefining urban logistics in India. With proven MVP and are now scaling from pilot to national roll-out, looking for a AI Engineer to design, build, and scale the systems that will power thousands of riders across India.

Role Overview We’re looking for AI Engineers and Researchers who can take ownership of building and deploying forecasting models into production. This isn’t a research-only role — it’s about getting working systems live, iterating fast, and making a measurable impact on SLA compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and train forecasting models

• Integrate model outputs into our real-time decision engine (Python APIs, Redis, AWS).

• Work with simulation data to create training/evaluation sets.

• Optimize for inference speed (ONNX/TorchScript, quantization).

• Collaborate with the founders to shape model roadmap and metrics.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong proficiency in Python + PyTorch/TensorFlow.

• Experience with time-series models and data (any of: traffic, mobility, maps, forecasting).

• Understanding of geospatial frameworks.

• Comfort with data engineering basics (pipelines, ETL, SQL/NoSQL).

• Ability to ship fast, debug, and optimize models for real-time serving.

Nice to have: • Experience with Redis, OSRM, or similar real-time infra.

• Background in last-mile logistics, ride-hailing, food and grocery delivery, or mobility data.

• Exposure to reinforcement learning or simulation-driven training.
