SFE Engineering is excited to announce an opening for an Energy Modeler to join our team in Flushing. This full-time, on-site position offers a fantastic opportunity for entry-level professionals looking to make their mark in the Architecture and Planning industry.

As an Energy Modeler, you will play a vital role in supporting our sustainable design initiatives by developing and analyzing energy models for various projects. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers and architects to create innovative solutions that enhance energy efficiency and contribute to our commitment to sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Develop energy models for a variety of building types using eQuest
• Analyze energy performance and efficiency
• Collaborate with architects and engineers on project designs
• Prepare reports and presentations for project stakeholder
• Stay updated on energy codes and regulations
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas
• Assist in identifying opportunities for energy savings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Familiarity with energy modeling software eQuest
• Familiarity with NYC energy code
• Basic understanding of building systems and energy efficiency
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
• Willingness to learn and grow within the company
