About the Role
GoTickets is seeking a scrappy, hands-on App Growth & Social Marketing Specialist to launch and scale our mobile app’s user base from the ground up. This is a foundational hire: you’ll build the strategy, execute the tactics, experiment aggressively, and be the first to define what success looks like in organic mobile growth at GoTickets.
We’re looking for a doer, not a manager — someone who thrives in fast-paced, startup-like environments and wants to own real impact. You’ll work across UGC, social, and influencer tactics to drive installs and engagement.
What You’ll Do
Organic App Growth
- Lead all initiatives to increase mobile app installs and active users through organic and earned channels (social media, UGC, community, creator partnerships).
- Experiment with early-stage tactics (e.g., ambassador programs, challenges, referral hacks, event-driven growth spikes) to find traction fast.
- Develop an onboarding experience and feedback loop to capture user insights and improve retention.
Social Media & Content
- Own our social presence end-to-end: build and execute content calendars across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Twitter/X, Reddit, etc.
- Create short-form content, UGC prompts, and viral activations that resonate with sports, concert, and event-going audiences.
- Build relationships with creators to feature the app organically and generate engagement around real events.
Influencer & UGC Activation
- Identify and reach out to micro-influencers, superfans, and niche communities to promote app usage.
- Develop briefs, guide content, and track outcomes to drive real conversions — not just vanity metrics.
- Test UGC-led creative across platforms and formats to find what drives downloads and engagement.
Measurement & Optimization
- Track growth KPIs such as installs, conversion rate (CVR), cost per install (CPI — even if unpaid), and retention.
- Use basic tools (e.g., Firebase, native platform analytics, Google Sheets) to understand what’s working and pivot quickly.
- Contribute to A/B testing ideas to validate growth hypotheses.
Team-Building Foundation
- As success scales, help recruit and oversee freelancers, creators, or agencies to amplify what’s working.
- Develop simple systems and SOPs for scaling repeatable campaigns and processes.
Who You Are
- You’ve done this before — grown an app or community from zero, preferably in a high-speed, resource-limited environment.
- You’re creative and execution-driven — comfortable making things happen even when resources are tight.
- You love social — you know what content hits on TikTok, how to ride trends, and how to build UGC engines.
- You understand performance — you track impact, not just impressions, and you care deeply about users taking action.
- You thrive on building — you want ownership, iteration, and the chance to leave a lasting impact.
Nice to Have
- Previous work with mobile-first consumer products, ideally in tickets, events, or entertainment.
- Familiarity with content tools like CapCut, Canva, or social analytics platforms.
- Basic knowledge of Firebase, AppsFlyer, Mixpanel, or other mobile attribution tools.
