Data Analyst – Event Operations
Go Tickets | Full-Time

ABOUT GO TICKETS Go Tickets is one of the fastest growing ticket marketplaces in the industry. At the heart of our platform is our event mapping operation — processing 30,000–40,000 events per day and connecting fans to the live experiences they love. We take that responsibility seriously and we are looking for someone who does too.

THE ROLE We are looking for a sharp, detail-obsessed Data Analyst to own the efficiency and accuracy of our event mapping process. This is not a background role. Event mapping is the lifeblood of Go Tickets and you will be at the center of making sure it runs cleaner, faster, and smarter every single day. You will live in SQL, build reports that catch mistakes before they become problems, and work directly with our product team to drive system improvements that scale with our growth. If you love finding the one thing everyone else missed and turning it into a process that never misses again — this job is for you.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Own the data — Monitor and analyze event mapping accuracy across 30,000–40,000 daily events
  • Build SQL reports — Design and maintain queries that proactively catch mapping errors, duplicates, mismatches, and inefficiencies
  • Identify patterns — Spot recurring issues and determine whether they need a process fix or a product fix
  • Partner with product — Clearly document and communicate mapping issues and enhancement requests to the product team so they get built right
  • Improve continuously — Audit current mapping workflows and recommend changes that improve speed and accuracy
  • Create dashboards and reporting — Build visibility tools so the team always knows the health of the mapping operation in real time
  • Set quality standards — Define what good mapping looks like and build the reports to measure against it
  • Leverage AI tools — Use Claude, Cursor, and other AI tools daily to write better SQL faster, accelerate analysis, and solve problems more efficiently

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Required

  • Strong SQL skills — you write queries confidently and independently
  • Actively uses AI tools like Claude or Cursor to work faster and smarter — this is not optional, it is part of how we operate
  • Analytical mindset — you do not just find problems, you find the root cause
  • Attention to detail — at 30k+ events per day, the small things matter
  • Clear communicator — you can explain a data problem to a non-technical stakeholder
  • Self-starter — you do not wait to be told where the problems are, you go find them

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Amazon Redshift — this is a significant advantage
  • Experience in ticketing, live events, or marketplace platforms
  • Familiarity with event data, venue mapping, or inventory management
  • Experience writing product requirements or working alongside a product/engineering team
  • Exposure to BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar

A NOTE ON AI TOOLS We are a fast moving company mapping tens of thousands of events daily. We expect our analyst to use every tool available to work efficiently. If you are already using Claude or Cursor to write better SQL faster, troubleshoot queries, and accelerate your analysis — you will fit right in here. We are not looking for someone who will learn to use AI tools eventually. We are looking for someone who already has them open in another tab right now.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS At most companies a data analyst is supporting the business. At Go Tickets this analyst IS a critical part of the business. Every event mapped correctly is a fan who finds the right ticket. Every error caught before it goes live is a problem that never reaches our customers. The work you do here has a direct and measurable impact on our platform every single day.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE INTERVIEW

  • How would you build a SQL-based system to catch mapping errors at scale across tens of thousands of daily events?
  • Tell us about a time you found a process inefficiency through data — what did you find and what did you do about it?
  • How do you currently use AI tools like Claude or Cursor in your day to day analytical work?

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Full benefits package
  • Remote/Hybrid flexibility
  • High visibility role with direct impact on company growth

HOW TO APPLY Send your resume and two or three sentences on how you currently use AI tools in your data work to [hiring email] We read every application. If you are serious about data, love live events, and are already working smarter with AI — we want to hear from you.
