GoTickets is looking to add a hands-on, highly capable Head of Email & Lifecycle Marketing to join our growing team of professionals. Based in Chicago, GoTickets is a ticket marketplace that offers a wide selection of tickets for thousands of concerts, sports, and theater events around the world. Since our inception, we’ve blended our deep experience in ticketing and eCommerce with a data-driven, customer-first approach to marketing.
This is a high-impact individual contributor role. You’ll be responsible for building and optimizing our email marketing and post-purchase communication systems from the ground up—spanning transactional messaging, event-based recommendations, and lifecycle marketing. Role Overview
This is a senior, highly performance-driven Email & Lifecycle Marketing leadership role within GoTickets. The position sits at the center of revenue growth, owning email, SMS, and lifecycle campaigns that directly impact ticket sales and customer retention. The role is hands-on initially, with responsibility for building and leading a team over time.
Ideal Background
• 5–10 years of direct experience in email and lifecycle marketing
• Experience in e-commerce, ticketing, travel, or consumer transactional businesses
• Prior experience owning or leading email and SMS programs at scale
• Background in high-volume, high-velocity consumer environments
• Ticketing experience strongly preferred
(Experience at major ticketing platforms is a plus)
Core Responsibilities
Own and lead email and SMS (text) marketing strategy end-to-end
Design, execute, and optimize performance-driven lifecycle campaigns
Drive revenue through segmentation, personalization, testing, and automation
Manage campaign calendars tied directly to sales, inventory, and demand
Build and scale the email & lifecycle marketing function, including hiring and developing team members
Partner closely with growth, analytics, product, and engineering teams
• Ensure campaigns consistently hit revenue and performance targets
Technical & Platform Requirements
Braze preferred (or deep experience with comparable lifecycle platforms)
Strong working knowledge of SQL for audience segmentation, analysis, and reporting
Leadership & Performance Expectations
Senior individual contributor who can roll up sleeves while building a team
Proven ability to own outcomes, not just campaigns
Highly metrics- and results-oriented; success is measured by revenue impact
