About the Role
As an Entry-Level Risk & Optimization Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity, safety, and efficiency of the GoTickets.com marketplace. You will review live events and seller activity to identify potential risks, coach sellers to reduce exposure, and optimize seller settings to enhance performance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within online marketplace operations.
Responsibilities
Event & Transaction Risk Review
- Evaluate upcoming and active events to determine risk level (e.g., delivery challenges, fraud likelihood, fulfillment complexity).
- Flag high-risk events and recommend mitigation strategies for internal teams and sellers.
- Monitor marketplace trends (pricing, inventory movement, event type behavior) to proactively identify emerging risks.
Seller Coaching & Support
- Work directly with sellers to address risky listing behaviors or operational gaps.
- Provide guidance on best practices for pricing, delivery timelines, fulfillment accuracy, and order management.
- Assist sellers in understanding marketplace policies and how to reduce cancellations, fraud triggers, or customer complaints.
Operational Optimization
- Regularly review seller performance dashboards and risk indicators.
- Adjust seller settings—tightening or loosening controls such as order caps, delivery windows, approval requirements—based on demonstrated behavior changes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine automated rules, scoring systems, and fulfillment safeguards.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Track and analyze event-level and seller-level risk patterns.
- Produce reports on risk findings and recommendations.
- Surface insights to leadership to improve marketplace health and buyer trust.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in marketplace operations, risk, analytics, customer support, or related field.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills.
- Ability to make decisions using structured frameworks and data.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Familiarity with ticketing, e-commerce, or marketplace businesses is a plus.
