Description

We are currently seeking a skilled General Counsel to join SME Squared LLC, a leading management consulting company. As the General Counsel, you will play a crucial role in providing legal guidance and support to the organization. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, managing legal risks, and safeguarding the company's interests. You will be involved in a variety of legal projects, including contract negotiations, litigation management, and corporate governance.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice and support to the company on a wide range of legal issues.
• Negotiate, draft, and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Manage litigation and dispute resolution processes, working closely with external counsel when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations across all aspects of the business.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks and protect the company's interests.
• Participate in corporate governance activities, including board meetings and regulatory filings.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide legal guidance and support on various projects and initiatives.
• Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company and advise accordingly.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the state bar.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on corporate or commercial law.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly and concisely to non-legal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
• Experience in the management consulting industry is a plus.
