About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic, responsible Summer Counsellors to support an immersive academic and cultural program for 15–18 year-old students from around the world.
Counsellors are at the heart of the student experience helping to create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment while supporting activities, excursions, and daily life. You will act as a mentor and role model, encouraging confidence, independence, and global curiosity.
This role is ideal for university students, recent graduates, or early-career professionals interested in education, youth development, leadership, psychology, or international program.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and support students throughout the residential program
- Assist with cultural, social, and sporting activities
- Monitor attendance, wellbeing, and daily routines
- Support program staff with logistics and participant documentation
- Attend all required briefings, meetings, and training
- Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and pastoral care standards
- Act as a positive role model at all times
- Additional responsibilities may be added
Who we’re looking for
Required
- Aged 20 or over
- Fluent in English
- Experience working with children or young people (camp, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, volunteering, etc.)
- Responsible, organised, and able to work both independently and in a team
- Comfortable with active days including walking and outdoor activities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- DBS background check
- Necessary work permit / visa in place
Desirable
- Background in education, youth work, psychology, sport, or leadership
- Experience in residential or international settings

- Availability for virtual pre-program training
- Full availability on site for 15 July 2026 – 2 August 2026
